Our Beginning

The Oswal Group's legacy is one of vision, innovation, and relentless growth, tracing its roots back to 1962 when the late Shri Rattan Chand Oswal founded Vardhman Spinning & General Mills (VSGM) in Ludhiana. Yarn production began in 1965, marking the start of our journey as a textile powerhouse.

After the passing of Shri Rattan Chand Oswal, the mantle of leadership passed to the late Shri Ashok Oswal, who steered the company into new dimensions. In 2003, this led to the establishment of Vardhman Polytex Limited (VPL). A significant milestone was reached in 2006 when we ventured into the weaving sector through a partnership with F.M. Hammerle, leveraging our spinning expertise and cementing our position in the industry.

While textiles have always been our foundation, we continuously seek new opportunities. In 2014, we diversified into real estate with Vardhman Amrante, followed by the launch of Edrio, our athleisure wear brand, in 2021—capitalizing on the booming e-commerce sector.

Under the leadership of Adish Oswal, we remain committed to innovation and expansion while upholding the core values instilled by our founders.

Our diverse portfolio includes Cotton (Carded, Combed, Organic, BCI, SUPIMA) and Cotton-Polyester blends, as well as Value-Added Yarn (Grey). Each product is crafted using the finest raw materials and state-of-the-art technology.
